Dedication ceremonies for the Northbound I-5 Willamette River Bridge were featured on KEZI television. Hamilton is the CM/GC contractor working with the Oregon Dept. of Transportation to deliver this project which doubles the number of travel lanes on I-5 through Eugene/Springfield and pays homage to the indigenous people of the Willamette Valley. Dedication ceremonies for the Northbound I-5 Willamette River Bridge—now to be known as the Whilamut Passage Bridge—showcased a Who's Who of transportation officials including Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez—all of whom congratulated the ODOT/Hamilton team for delivering the project four months ahead of schedule and $12 million under budget! Preservation work on Oregon's Historic Conde McCullough Bridge has received the 2011 Award of Excellence in the Transportation Category from the International Concrete Repair Institute, Inc. (ICRI). Hamilton Construction is general contractor; repair contractor Great Western Corp. and material supplier/manufacturer BASF Corp.—Building Systems were showcased for innovative solutions to cathodic protection devised to restore this bridge that ICRI termed "arguably the most exquisite showpiece in a series of historic coastal bridges along U.S. 101, the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway".
