I-70 Bridge Rehab Deer Trail
Start Date: March 2016
End Date: November 2016
This bridge rehabilitation project extended the life of the Deer Trail Bridge. An innovative polyester concrete overlay was used to preserve the bridge deck for more than 20 years, a longer duration than that of a normal overlay.
Hamilton’s work on this bridge replacement included the rehabilitation of all bridge piers and pier caps on the 486-foot bridge parallel to I-70. In addition the six-span bridge deck, approach panel, curb and rail were also replaced. The second portion of the project included a scour repair, channel realignment, and
a 130-foot by 12-foot low-water crossing with toewalls.
