Seward Highway: Trail RV, Falls Creek & Ptarmigan Bridge Replacements
Seward, Alaska
Start Date: August 2011
End Date: Summer 2013
Hamilton Construction Co. was recently awarded this Alaska DOT job on the Seward Highway about a half hour north of Seward (1-1/2 hours south of Anchorage). The project involves the replacement of three bridges on the Seward Highway including two 149-ft. single span bridges; and a three span, 383' structure. Temporary detour bridges have been built to handle traffic at all three locations under a previous contract. Hamilton is pleased to be working with Alaska-based Bristol Corporation to accomplish all of the site work on this job.
Work will begin spring 2012, and run through late fall. Hamilton will then re-mobilize to the site in the spring of 2013 to remove the detour bridge at Trail River (the 383' long structure) and finish remaining site work.
