The goal of this project is to improve both Northbound I-5 and Southbound I-5 traffic flow and reduce traffic congestion. Southbound I-5 will have another lane added, Northbound essentially the same. A new southbound on-ramp from Columbia Blvd. will be constructed. New soundwalls, drainage enhancements, signage and illumination improvements will be made, as well.
Interesting Factoid: This is the most congested part of I-5 in the State of Oregon.
